Hundreds
of supporters of the presidential candidate for Tanzania's main opposition
Chadema party are out on the streets of the commercial capital, Dar es Salaam.
This
was as Edward Lowassa, a former prime minister, went to collect his nomination
papers to run in October's election.
He
defected last week from the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi party to join Chadema.
