Burkina
Faso's Foreign Minister Alpha Barry said no ransom was paid for her release,
and efforts were under way to secure the freedom of her husband Ken
Elliott, an 82-year-old doctor.
The two were abducted
last month near Burkina Faso's border with Niger by gunmen suspected
to be linked to al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.
