TheCable reports veteran Journalist and
celebrated columnist, Pastor Dimgba Igwe, was killed on Saturday morning by a
hit-and-run motorist while jogging near his residence in Okota, Lagos.
Igwe,
vice-chairman of Sun Newspapers, was a regular early-morning jogger, according
to his friends. He was the deputy general overseer of Evangel Pentecostal
Church (EPC), Lagos.
PREMIUM TIMES noted that Igwe,
alongside Mike Awoyinfa, pioneered the now rested Weekend Concord newspaper,
The Sun Newspaper and co-authored several books including Osoba: The
Newspaper Years, The Arts of Feature Writing and Mike Adenuga: The Business
Guru.
He was born on the 16th of May,
1956.
