A stoppage time winner from Moussa Sow saw Senegal complete an impressive comeback against Ghana, the striker netting with the last kick of the game to secure a 2-1 win. Sow, preferred off the bench to Newcastle's Papiss Cisse, was in the right place at the right time to grab a back-post winner with seconds left on the clock. Before the dramatic ending it had been Premier League stars who had taken centre stage as two of Africa's most star-studded sides played out an entertaining game in Mongomo.

On Match Day 2 at ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON), in a Group C clash, Senegal has dramatically defeated the Black Star of Ghana by 2 goals to 1, Daily Mail reports.

The Ghanaian team adds an impressive performance within the first 15 minutes of the game and was able to record the first goal in the match through a penalty but returned for the second half only to play more of what seemed to be defensive.

Meanwhile, the Senegalese came all out for victory in the second half and got it.

Senegal got the equalizer and continued to mount more pressure on the Black Stars until Moussa Sow got a long pass at the 93rd minute of the match to put the score line at 2-1.

Meanwhile Algeria came from behind to defeat South Africa 3-1.

Slimani is congratulated by his team-mates after securing victory in Group C for the much-fancied Algerians

Many people’s pre-tournament favourites, Algeria had started the brighter, controlling the game and dominating possession, but created very little in the way of clear-cut chances.

Tottenham’s Nabil Bentaleb produced a good header from a free kick early on, bringing a save from Darren Keet in the South African goal, but for the most part the Desert Foxes were limited to shots from range. Ryad Mahrez, the Leicester City winger, had very little impact, and was withdrawn after an hour.
South Africa meanwhile were happy to get men behind the ball, utilizing the pace of Bournemouth striker Rantie on the break.
