Two Christians groups, the Concerned Christians and Northern Nigerian Christians, yesterday berated the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Ayo Supo Ayokunle over his comment on the recent of the US Secretary of State, John Kerry.
Media report continues:
The groups said the claim by Ayokunle that the visit was aimed at “favouring Muslims to the detriment of the Christian community” showed his lack of knowledge that the North is made up of Muslims and Christians.
The groups in a statement signed by their representative, Rev. Luka Shehu stated that the statement attributed to the CAN President “leaves much to be desired of his knowledge, exposure and understanding of diplomacy, International politics or the nature of insecurity in Northern Nigeria.”
