5 Diesel Thieves Nabbed At National Assembly

Nigeria's National Assembly Complex, Three Arms Zone, Abuja FCT
Five persons were yesterday arrested at the National Assembly for stealing diesel.
Daily Trust report continues:
Security operatives at the Assembly said they arrested them with a Volkswagen Golf car with registration number: Abuja BV 464 RSH, nine 25-litre jerry cans and a 50-litre jerry can containing diesel.
The Divisional Police Officer, National Assembly Complex, CSP Nancy Ajaponna, said they were investigating how the thieves entered the complex.
“We are all trying our best to keep this place safe and free from crime. No crime, internally, succeeds without the aid of an insider. When we get to the root of our investigations, we will get to the facts on how these people came in,” she said.
A leader of the Joint Monitoring Team of the National Assembly Complex, Mr. Usman Labaran also said the suspects carried out the operation with the aid of an insider.
