2105 Polls: Accreditation Peaceful In Nasarawa, Fear Of Likely Ballot Box Snatching In Cross River

In Nasarawa State accreditation has largely been hitch-free.

Accreditation has commenced at Alushi medical centre unit 004 of Alushi Ginda ward of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government of Nasarawa State.

However, there are some misgivings as some people are complaining over allegations of rigging plans in favor of a particularly political party.

Meanwhile presiding officers attached to polling units 001, 002, 003 and 004 in Constituency 1, Calabar South, Cross River State have expressed fear over the likelihood of ballot box snatching before the close of election today.

One of the ad-hoc staff, who prefers anonymity, said they have been contacted by one of agents of the participating political parties in the election that they (ad-hoc staff) should pave the way for the easy snatching of ballot boxes.

The official said they were offered some money as bribe but that hey turned down the offer.
“They have offered us money to allow them snatch the ballot boxes when the time comes, but we turned it down. We have sent messages for more security beef-up,” he said.
