12 Dead In South Africa’s Limpopo Taxi Crash

Twelve people died when a minibus taxi and a truck were involved in a head-on collision along the N1 in Limpopo on Thursday morning. Road Traffic Management Corporation spokesperson, Simon Zwane, confirmed the incident adding that the crash had occurred at about 1.00am south of Naboomspruit.

"It is believed that the vehicles collided head-on after which the minibus caught fire," Zwane said in a News24 report.
Zwane added that the cause of the crash was being investigated.
