The morning papers
here in Ghana are leading with violence in the southern Bono Ahafo region. In the past seven
days the region has experienced violence that has killed at least seven people
in two towns. Yesterday,
a mob stormed and vandalized a police station, freed a suspect and burnt him
alive.
The
victim was a fetish priest arrested for stabbing a young man over disagreement.
The
police fired at the mob, killing one person and injuring another.
