FRENCH POLICE ARE PREPARING A RAID IN CALAIS - The Making Of And The Crisis Of 'Jungle 2'

Illegal camp set up by African migrants in the French Port City of Calais

From Eritrea and Sudan, the new migrant queue at Calais: Latest illegal encampment to spring up has hundreds who are currently waiting for the first chance to escape. Migrants started camping at 'Jungle 2' near busy road three months ago, reports Daily Mail.

They are desperate, defiant – and determined to get to England. Many had scaled mountains, crossed deserts and sailed across an ocean to get here. Some of their companions had drowned, perished from starvation or been arrested before they made it.

Tensions at boiling point as riot police prepare to move in on 'Jungle 2', the camp housing thousands desperate to make Britain their home.

Water supplies at camp cut off and police move in to clear 1,000 migrants.

Court deadline for migrants to leave illegal camp expires this morning
