The
Algerian Football Federation on Friday banned JS Kabylie from playing home
games for the rest of the season after the death of Cameroon striker Albert
Ebosse, AP reports.
Ebosse
died after being hit by a missile following Kayblie’s 2-1 defeat by USM Alger
on August 23.
Kabylie
will have to play all home games at a neutral ground behind closed doors until
the end of February. They normally play at Tizi Ouzou.
Their
supporters will only be allowed into away matches from January.
The
24-year-old Ebosse was hit by a piece of slate thrown from the stands after the
league match last month, according to Sports Minister Mohamed Tahmi. Ebosse was
Kabylie’s leading scorer.
The Algerian league was
suspended after the death, but is due to resume on Friday. Kabylie have their
next match on Saturday at USM Belabbes.
