South Africa’s Nkululeko 'Flabba' Habedi: Music star's girlfriend denies murder charge

The girlfriend of South Africa's hip hop star Nkululeko 'Flabba' Habedi has pleaded not guilty to a charge of murdering him.  Sindisiwe Manqele said she acted in self-defence after he brutally attacked her at his home about six months ago.

Renowned South African rapper and member of rap group Skwatta Kamp, Nkululeko ‘Flabba’ Habedi, has died after reportedly being stabbed in Alexandra.
According to police, Habedi was killed at around 2am this morning.
Police say he was allegedly stabbed by his girlfriend who has since been arrested and has been visited by her family.
The police’s Katlego Mogale says, “A well-known musician was allegedly stabbed to death during the early hours of this morning by his girlfriend. At this stage the motive is unknown. A case of murder is being investigated by the Alexandra police.”
Habedi was last seen in public on Friday night when he performed on the television show, Live Amp.
HABEDI'S FAMILY ARRIVES AT THE SCENE
Habedi’s family arrived at his Alexandra home where he was killed this morning.
His family members are currently meeting inside his house while his longtime friend and fellow Skwatta Kamp member Slikour has also arrived.
It’s understood the rapper’s body was taken away from the scene early this morning.
There’s a sense of disbelief in the area with neighbours reeling in shock.
South Africans, including members of his group, have taken to social media to express their shock at his death.
