Tanzania's ministry of
foreign affairs has said President John Magufuli has not issued a miniskirt ban
despite reports in a Kenyan newspaper.

The ministry said in
a statement that while the president and his government "are
strong proponents of decent dressing", the newspaper was
"reckless" in reporting an imaginary ban.
