At least six civilians
were killed when Boko Haram militant attacked a village near Maiduguri last
night, vigilantes and resident said.

Boko
Haram insurgents stormed a village of Ladi Butai in Jere LGA of area Borno
State, opened fire on villagers at about 9 pm killing, not
fewer than 6 people and injured scores others.
Commander
of Civilian JTF, who does not want his name printed known told Saharareporters
that they Boko Haram militants overpowered the CJTF stations in the village and
succeeded in killing unarmed villagers.
A fleeing resident Modu
Baba told Saharareporters that the insurgents invaded their village last night,
but he was lucky to escape to bushes and trekked to Maiduguri.
