Sacked
policemen paraded at the Force Headquarters in Abuja yesterday over alleged
unprofessional conduct, aiding and abetting serious crimes that include cattle
rustling, robbery and kidnapping.

The Nigeria Police Force
Headquarters (NPF) yesterday paraded fourteen policemen alongside fifty five
other suspects arrested in recent sting operations by the police.

The
Force spokesman DCP, Don Awunah while parading the suspects in Abuja, said the
arrests were part of measures by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim
Idris to ensure the conduct of officers and men of the force conform to
international best practices and norms.
The
affected policemen include Yuguda Abbah, Habila Sarki, Diphen Nimmyel,
Yasan Danda, Abbas Mailalle, Bwanason Tanko, Donan James, Idris Salisu, Zakari
Kofi, Musbahu Yahaya, Ugenlo Sylvester, Musa Umar, Omale Edicha and Laibi
Opakegba.
Awunah
said the policemen were found culpable in aiding and abetting criminals engaged
in robbery, cattle rustling, kidnapping among other misconducts.
The police said it recovered several rifles and munitions from the sacked policemen and their accomplices.
