Panic In Rivers Schools As Rumour Of Forced Inoculation Hits The State

Today parents and school authorities in Rivers States were thrown into confusion as the rumour of forced vaccination and medication on school children hit state.
GRAPHITTI NEWS report continues:
Based on unconfirmed reports, the news went round the metropolis of Port Harcourt that allegedly certain individuals with military personnel as reinforcements are going round schools in the state to administer forced inoculation on children.
Not knowing what to believe parents and guardians who descended on schools’ premises to withdraw their children and wards for their safety.  
GRAPHITTI NEWS reporters witnessed several schools besieged by anxiety-wracked parents and guardians who descended on schools’ premises to withdraw their children and wards.
Nobody has ascertain the source of the misleading directive.
It would be recalled that the same unconfirmed reports made the rounds in the south east states in recent weeks.
However the Rivers State Government has issues a PRESS STATEMENT on the matter.

PRESS STATEMENT

RSG DID NOT AUTHORISE THE MILITARY TO INOCULATE SCHOOL CHILDREN
The Rivers State Government says it did not authorise the Nigeria Army or indeed any other body or person to enter into school premises to administer forced medication or vaccination on any child in any school in Rivers State.
Inoculation is personal and consent of the Rivers State Government and parents must first be sought and obtained before it can be administered on any school child in a school premises.
Consequently, all school heads and parents should resist any such attempt.
Furthermore, the State Government has set up a Task Force to ensure that no school premises is violated in the State for the purpose of immunising any child.
We appeal to members of the public to remain calm and return their kids to school as RSG will continue to ensure their peace and security. 
Meanwhile the State Government has ordered the arrest of anyone attempting to vaccinate any child in any school premises in Rivers State.
