Africa Day is the annual commemoration on May 25, 1963 founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU). On this day, leaders of 30 of the 32 independent African states signed a founding charter in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 

Kenya’s Kipton Wins Lagos City Marathon

Kenyan long distance runner, Abraham Kipton, on Saturday won the inaugural edition of the Lagos City Marathon, edging out over 20,000 athletes from Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Morocco, Uganda, India, Cameroon and other parts of the world.

Abraham Kipton crossed the finishing line in 2 hours, 16 minutes, 21 seconds.
