The MTN marathon 42km race was won
by Uganda's Alex Chesakit (men) and Carolyne Migadde (women) on a wet Sunday
morning.
New Vision reports:
You could say the early morning pour
which receded into a drizzle throughout the entire race period featured as a
subplot of an event whose theme was 'Run for Water'.
Proceeds from this year's marathon are going towards provision of cleanwater to Karamoja region – a northern Uganda area that is mostly semi-arid plain with harsh climate and low annual rainfall.
