Reports from north-eastern
Nigeria say at least 14 people have been killed in a double suicide bombing in
Damaturu, the capital of Yobe state. BBC reports that residents say one of the
bombers detonated his explosives amidst some youth and killed four, while the
other bomber went to a neighbourhood where he gathered members of a family ostensibly
to preach to them. The bomb he detonated killed 10.
Meanwhile,
the military says it has killed about 100 fighters from the militant Islamist
group Boko Haram after foiling an attack on its troops in another part of Yobe.
Seven
soldiers died in the clashes, the military added.

TIMES report that a bomb has exploded at a housing estate in Damaturu, Yobe
State, with yet an unconfirmed number of people killed.
State
television, the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, reported “multiple bomb explosion
in Damaturu at an Estate within the Yobe State Capital”.
Unconfirmed
reports say at least 10 people were killed in the attack.
