Chelsea are close to
selling Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid after extensive talks with the La Liga
club, reports claim.

The
Spaniard left Diego Simeone’s side in 2014 to move to Stamford Bridge but has
expressed his desire to return after falling out of Antonio Conte’s plans.
After
playing a crucial role in the Blues’ Premier League title charge last season,
Conte told his star striker he was surplus to requirements via text message and
the 28-year-old has yet to return to Chelsea’s training base.
But
with just three days remaining in the transfer window, the striker is facing a
race against time to sort his future.
Atletico Madrid are currently serving a transfer ban so while they can sign the player, they cannot use him before January and they are trying to find a club to loan Costa to in the meantime.
