INEC Approves Continuous Accreditation, Voting For Re-Run Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission has approved the use of continuous accreditation and voting for pending court-ordered re-run elections on a pilot basis.

In a public notice issued in Abuja on Thursday night, and signed by the Secretary to the Commission, Mrs Augusta C. Ogakwu, INEC said the decision was taken following consultations with major stakeholders and in the public interest.
The Commission also approved that in line with the new procedure, voting at the pending re-run elections shall commence at 8.00am and close at 2.00pm.
