Manchester City: Luis Suarez Targeted As Pep Guardiola Begins Plans For Next Season

Guardiola wanting Suarez

Pep Guardiola is desperate to sign Luis Suarez once he takes charge at Manchester City, according to reports.

SunSport report continues:

The Spaniard’s brother is the Barcelona superstar’s agent and City have been told a deal is possible.

Man City will have to shell out over £40million in order for Barcelona to part with the 29-year-old though, reports The Mirror on Sunday.

Cash-strapped Etihad chiefs are expected to front the funds for Guardiola’s every wish once he rocks up in Manchester in June.

SunSport has already revealed Man City are keen on a sensational move for Lionel Messi as they bid to become the world’s leading footballing power.

And former Barca manager Guardiola is also reportedly hunting Paul Pogba, Dani Alves, and promising Germany starlet Leroy Sane.

Suarez swapped Liverpool for Barcelona in July 2014 after three superb seasons at Anfield.

And he has helped form a devastating attacking trio with Messi and Neymar for the Catalan club.

The Uruguay star has already hinted at a return to Anfield though.

Suarez told ESPN: “You never know what will happen in the future.

“If I was to return to England, it would be to play for Liverpool — not for any other team.

“I’ve missed the fans. The atmosphere is incredible, it’s incredible.
“Everyone who has played for Liverpool knows how important the fans are — they know they will always be in my heart.”
