The tournament kicks off
on the 17th of January with the final to be played on February 18th.
South Africa's coach Shakes Mashaba has his work cut out for him as he leads Bafana Bafana to trade tackles with two West Africa footballing powerhouses, Ghana and Senegal as well as a resurgent Algeria in the 2015 as South Africa is drawn along Ghana, Senegal and Algeria in Group C.
Ghana's
new Black Stars boss, Avram Grant, who officially took over today is going to
face a difficult start on the job as Ghana has been drawn alongside Africa’s
highest ranked team Algeria, high-flying South Africa and Senegal in Group C of
next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The
draws held in Malabo also saw hosts Equatorial Guinea paired with neighbors
Gabon (they co-hosted the tournament together in 2012). Star studded Ivory
Coast and Cameroon meet in Group D, which will also be a reunion considering
the two met in the qualifiers with Cameroon winning at home 4-1 and then it was
a 0-0 draw in Abidjan in the return fixture.
