Rotimi Amaechi, has said that he will not be present at the swearing-in of his
successor, Chief Nyesom Wike, GRAPHITTI NEWS reports.

a result of the controversy surrounding the presidential and governorship
elections in the state.

explained that he would rather be at the swearing-in of the President-elect,
Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, in Abuja.

Amaechi at the inauguration ceremony of Wike? He (Amaechi) plans to attend the
swearing-in of the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari,” a text message sent to
our correspondent by Iyofor read.
Meanwhile Boma Peters Blog reports the
Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Port Harcourt branch on Thursday suspended the
outgoing Rivers State Attorney-General and Commissioner For Justice, Mr Worgu
Boms for his illegal acts against the judiciary and the legal profession.
This
decision was reached at its meeting in Port Harcourt .The suspension was
announced by the Chairman, NBA Port Harcourt Branch, Mr Dennis Okwankpan.
The
NBA Port Harcourt branch accused the outgoing Attorney-General of lending his support to the outgoing governor, Rotimi
Amaechi, to destroying and rendering the Rivers State judiciary impotent, an act that is unprecedented in
history of the nation.
the Chairman said "Without showing remorse for
this despicable act, Worgu Boms used resources of the state government on
behalf of Amaechi to shop for black market injunction to stop the inauguration
of Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
"Worgu and his boys went on an injunction shopping spree
to Awka, Owerri, Abuja and Lagos. At every instance, they were denied the black
market injunction and lambasted for their role in destroying Rivers State
judiciary."
