The former head of Kenya's anti-doping task force has called
for an overhaul of the International Association of Athletics Federations
(IAAF) in the wake of the latest allegations about doping in athletics.
BBC reports Moni Wekesa said there
needed to be a change of guard in the organization and that it should reign in
its affiliates such as Athletics Kenya.
He said the national
athletics organization in Kenya had buried its head in the sand about the issue
of doping.
Kenya is one of the
countries that has been named in the latest media reports.
Athletics Kenya has
described the accusations as an attempt to smear and destabilize its squad
ahead of the world championships later this month in Beijing.
