Buhari is due to arrive in the Ghanaian capital, Accra, shortly for talks with
President John Mahama on regional security, trade and other issues affecting
the two West African states. Nigeria
is the third biggest investor in Ghana from sub-Saharan Africa. BBC reports
that it is estimated that some one million Nigerian nationals and dual citizens
live and work in different parts of Ghana.

to a September 6, 2015 Press Release by the Special
Adviser to the President:
Buhari
off to Ghana, to meet President Mahama
President
Muhammadu Buhari will undertake a one-day official visit to Accra, the Ghanaian
capital tomorrow [today], Monday, September 7, 2015.
During
the visit, President Buhari will confer with his Ghanaian counterpart,
President John Dramani Mahama, on bilateral relations, regional security, trade
and other issues of common interest to Nigeria, Ghana and other members of the
Economic Community of West African States.
The
President is also expected to meet with members of the Nigerian community in
Ghana and entrepreneurs before returning to Abuja on Monday evening.
He
will be accompanied to Accra by the National Security Adviser, Maj.-Gen.
Babagana Monguno (rtd.), and the Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Ministries
of Foreign Affairs, Defence, Justice and Industry, Trade and Investment.
