Ethiopia's greatest
runner Haile Gebrselassie has told the BBC that the drug testing
programme for athletes in his country more must be more
rigorous.
BBC
Newshour's Tim Franks put it to him that there are people who say the
testing regimes are not strong enough. Haile responded saying "that's
true".
He
said that, for out-of-competition testing, there is a problem finding
the exact location of athletes' homes.
But
that's not the only issue and he said that the system "must be
tightened".
Haile, who's now
retired, won Olympic and World Championship gold medals at 10,000 metres
as well as breaking numerous world records during his career.
