A court in Liberia has
found three former government officials in the forestry industry guilty of
economic sabotage. BBC reports that the
court ruled that the men had caused Liberia to lose US$6m (£3.8) in revenue by
issuing 61 land use permits in violation of a moratorium on all activities in
the industry.
The
three denied the charge, and said they would appeal.
The
court ordered them to pay back the money or serve a five-year jail sentence.
