Authorities in Nigeria
have arrested former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki. He worked with the last
President Goodluck Jonathan. Mr Dasuki
is accused of embezzling about US$2bn by a committee investigating arms
procurement during the last administration.

The
equipment was meant for the fight against Boko Haram Islamist militants.
His
arrest follows the detention of former Minister of State for Finance Bashir
Yuguda and the sons of some prominent politicians of the former ruling party
over allegations of impropriety.
Mr
Dasuki has denied the allegations against him.
