Olusegun Mimiko, Ondo state governor, has emerged
the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors’ forum.
Mimiko, who was the deputy to Godswill
Akpabio, former chairman of the forum, was elected at a meeting in Abuja on Wednesday.
Mimiko dumped the PDP in 2006 for the
Labour Party but returned to the party in October, 2014, describing his
return as a “homecoming.”
He is a strong supporter of Goodluck Jonathan,
former president.
